In this excellent thread, 0xCygaar (again!) talks about Pudgy Penguin and their excellent execution of the toy drop (they sold 20k+ pieces and earned 500k$ in the first 48h), but also how they are onboarding people to NFTs without necessarily talking about it extensively, and rather focusing on removing barriers/friction.
I am truly amazed by the team's masterclass, particularly considering the challenges they have faced, the doubts spread (FUD), and their efforts to rebuild the brand. They are successfully achieving what many NFT projects strive for but often fail to accomplish: bridging the physical and digital realms. Bravo!

One of Overwatch 2’s main promises was to bring a brand new PvE mode with Heroes/Talents etc.… Well, that was a promise that won’t be fulfilled as announced by Blizzard last week. In this interview, GameSpot talks with Aaron Keller (Game Director) and Jared Neuss (Executive Producer) about why, how, and what’s next.
TLDR:
The decision to scrap the PvE mode was driven by technical hurdles and limitations encountered during its development, leading to a shift in focus toward enhancing the game's PvP elements.
Blizzard plans to prioritize the PvP experience in Overwatch 2, introducing new maps, heroes, some story missions, and gameplay updates. Ofc, the company remains committed to delivering a high-quality competitive multiplayer experience in Overwatch 2.
I find myself not entirely disliking it. Blizzard has faced numerous challenges over the past few years, including harassment lawsuits, underperforming games, and a decline in hardcore fans' interest.
However, in recent months, they have taken a different approach, striving to be closely connected with the community. As a player/fan of WoW, I have personally witnessed their responsiveness to feedback, transparency regarding challenges, and future plans. This trend is also apparent in Diablo 4 and Hearthstone.
The decision regarding OW2 doesn't come as a surprise to me if they faced hardships, and I don't hold any strong dislike towards it. Nonetheless, it was one of the factors used to move the audience and phase out OW1, so it remains uncertain how this will affect the community in the long run. Wait & see.

Elijah Nang, one of my favorite lofi/chillhop artists, just released his new full-beat tape: “Nang Soul, Vol2”. Would highly recommend a listen if you enjoy lofi, with some Asian instruments inspiration!
